Maintenance Technician

Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining mechanical production equipment and ensuring the safe, high-quality, and efficient operation of the plant. The technician oversees maintenance programs, coordinates activities with production personnel, and ensures compliance with Client's standards, safety regulations, and best practices. This role plays a critical part in supporting the Animal Nutrition Premix operations and maintaining equipment performance to meet production goals.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the plant's overall performance by participating in leadership meetings and decision-making.Plan and execute maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.Ensure timely production and shipment of products by maintaining equipment and raw material availability.Maintain a safe working environment and enforce Client's standards, including SHE and quality requirements.Train and mentor production personnel on performing basic maintenance tasks.Coordinate with vendors for maintenance, repairs, and raw material deliveries.Participate in improvement initiatives for operations, safety, health, and environmental standards.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years of related experience (5 years preferred) in mechanical, electrical, operational, and welding tasks.Knowledge of OSHA, Client's SHE & Quality standards, and experience in adhering to regulatory requirements (FAMI-QS, ISO 9001).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Understanding of weights and measurements and experience with computer systems.Preferred QualificationsTrade certification.Experience in Feed Mill or Premix production.Leadership and managerial skills demonstrated through prior roles.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to work overtime as needed, with possible weekend work and on-call requirements.Must be able to lift and handle materials as required for maintenance tasks.
