Bonus paid over a 14 month period of continuous full time employment.Summary:The LPN will provide direct and indirect care to patients working within a team model of care under the direction of an RN and in collaboration with PCTs.This additional role within the unit will help meet the current needs of our patients by providing additional care givers that are currently unavailable in the current market. Required : LPN license, BLS certificationControl Hours: 36.00Work Shift: 3pm-3:30am with alternating weekendsResponsibilities:Provides direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice and the established model of nursing- 40%Documents within the EMR under the supervision of the RN. Includes vital signs, wound care, medication administration, patient observations, and patient admission to the unit.-15%Collaborates with the registered nurse and other members of the healthcare team to facilitate a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient-20%Verifies, prepares and administers medication using safe practices to assigned patients-10%Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, bladder scans and glucoscans etc. as necessary.
