How You'll Perform the RoleThis position will be responsible for proactively maintaining operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Will proactively utilize approved preventive maintenance procedures. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment on the production lines for minimal downtime. Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications. Audit all parts of the production lines based on assigned schedule. Assist in the control of machine downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques, and monitoring compliance. Will assist in the determination of the effectiveness of preventive maintenance routines and schedules. Recommend any changes and improvements that will support the safe operation of equipment and machinery. Enter completed detailed work order information into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Responsible for the removal of defective parts by the safe dismantling of devices. Utilizing hoists, lifts, forklifts, and hand and power tools, and the examining of form and texture of parts. Responsible for determining changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Required to assist in the appropriate usage of maintenance resources. To include equipment and supplies needed to successfully complete the job assigned. Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and repair activities are following OSHA, Federal, Local and plant safety standards. Responsible for reporting on possible cause(s) of failure. Conduct participate in, request a subsequent investigation to determine/define the cause(s) of failure. Participate and support, for every employee, a safe work environment by following all facility safety and compliance policies and procedures. Participate and support, for every employee, and visitor; the adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. What We Need From You High school diploma or G.E.D. 2-5 years' experience in Equipment Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance Procedures Technical understanding, ability, and patience to deal with uncertainty. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Basic understanding of Safety procedures Experience with Power Tools Critical decision-making ability. Flexibility and adaptability and the ability to focus and pay attention to detail. Experience in Industrial Manufacturing a plus Sitting, standing, walking Pushing pulling, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling Reaching, grasping, repetitive motions Lifting and carrying: 0-49 lbs.
