Production Supervisor--2nd Shift

We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 4x from $300MM to $1+B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. We have an opening for a Production Supervisor--2nd Shift position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth. The position of Production Supervisor at Sanders Candy in Clinton Township, MI, has the crucial task of overseeing the operations of the packaging department during the 3p-11pm shift. This role plays a vital part in fulfilling our overarching vision of making things better by nourishing people and nature. The Production Supervisor holds a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:Essential duties and responsibilities include:Lead and train manufacturing employees, ensuring safe operations, and meeting production schedules.Optimize productivity by assigning personnel and machines effectively.Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality policies.Foster an inclusive and respectful team environment, promoting employee engagement.Resolve issues and implement corrective measures when necessary.Build strong customer and supplier relationships across all levels of the organization.Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School Education or equivalent.2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.Knowledge of FDA regulations are a plusStrong commitment to safety and quality.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalExceptional interpersonal and teamwork abilitiesStrong reasoning and decision-making skills for the production floorWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment. This is an indoor food manufacturing setting.Physical DemandsMust be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, may occasionally life and/or move up to 50 pounds.
