Join our team by applying today!We are a nationally recognized non-profit organization that sells gently used furniture, appliances, building supplies and more, to raise funds for Milwaukee Habitat efforts to build safe and affordable housing in the City of Milwaukee.Job SummaryThis individual is responsible for driving a 24-26' box truck with lift gate to pick-up residential and/or business donations of new or gently used building materials, appliances, furniture and household goods throughout Milwaukee County area. Safely operate the truck and provide excellent customer service when interacting with donors. This individual would be part of a 2- person team responsible for performing pickups and returning the donations to various ReStore locations. Duties would include assisting with unloading the truck and perform other retail store duties as needed and assigned. RESPONSIBILITIESDonation Intake/DrivingMake local donation pick-ups using 24-26' box truck and unload at various ReStore locations.Review donations, compare to acceptable donations guidelines, and determine if donations can be accepted. If unacceptable, be able to decline donations professionally. Load materials/goods without causing damage to the donated items or donor property. Skilled in use of straps, load bars, appliance dolly, and loading techniques.Represent Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity's mission and values during donor interactions.Drive safely and comply with lawful driving standards at all times.Demonstrate a personal commitment to providing excellent customer service to every customer and donor.Use safe lifting techniquesVehicle Maintenance/ComplianceComplete daily vehicle inspections and keep accurate records.
