DescriptionOpen LPN positions! Payrates up to $37.94/hr. Mt. Macrina Manor is a 133 bed, not for profit, skilled nursing facility that has served Southwestern Pennsylvania since 1971. The grounds are located approximately one hour south of Pittsburgh in a scenic, peaceful rural area directly off Route 40 in Uniontown. The facility offers 24 hour nursing care, rehabilitative services, memory care, and pastoral care to all denominations. To be eligible for hire with Mt. Macrina Manor, prospective employees must be fully vaccinated at time of orientation. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-shot series, such as the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as the J&J/Janssen vaccine.General Description:The Licensed Practical Nurse assists the RN Supervisor in coordinating, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care. Provides leadership and direction to the CNA to deliver and maintain quality care within Mt. Macrina Manor Policies and Procedures and guidelines of the Pennsylvania State Nurse Practice Act. Is the designated Team Leader of a specific group of residents on the nursing unit.Essential Duties:Demonstrate an understanding and puts into practice, person-centered philosophy by entering into a relationship with the residents, families and staff where the goal is to provide a comfortable and home-like environment and the relationship becomes meaningful and satisfying, for all involved.Assist the RN Supervisor to ensure the delivery of quality care. Monitor and assist with ADLs.Demonstrate technical knowledge and rationale for tasks completed.Demonstrate knowledge base in Nursing and the requirements for delivery of quality care.Assure that documentation on the resident record complies with regulatory standards.Administer medications, treatments and completes documentation accurately.Complete assessments and summaries to assure accurate recording of pertinent resident information.Provide leadership and guidance to the CNA staff, as indicated, to assure that Standards of Practice are followed.Attend in-service education provided by the facility annually. Applies information to job tasks.Assist with the orientation and training of staff to assure delivery of quality care.Maintain appropriate licensure.Customer Service : Demonstrate an understanding and put into practice, excellent customer service.Compliance : Demonstrate commitment to operating in accordance with facility mission, philosophy, vision and values of Mt. Macrina Manor.HIPPA : Demonstrate understanding of confidentiality.Actively participates in the Resident Dining Program after completing the Feeding Assistant Training Program unless already licensed or certified in an appropriate field. Functions may include: Transporting residents to dining areas, Passing meal trays and assisting residents with tray set-up, Assisting with feeding residents who are not considered high risk, Adhering to dining schedules and assignments, and Completes tasks within safety and regulatory guidelinesAny and all other duties, as assigned.Education & Experience:Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing with a current license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.Previous L.P.N. experience in a health care institution.Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other employees.Possess basic math skills.Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.Must maintain a zero - 3% med-error rate at all times.Must attend all Pharmacy related in-service programs.Physical Demands:Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in the English language.Ability to walk, lift, bend at knees and waist, stoop, kneel, reach, climb step stool, and stand in place for extended periods.Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds occasionally.Ability to use close vision, peripheral vision, and adjust focus.
