Find out more about us: Production Supervisor - 2nd ShiftJOB SUMMARYThe Production Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates day-to-day activities of department employees to ensure product conformance to quality and customer specifications. Trains employees in work methods and procedure, and handles technical problems and employee relations issues, including any disciplinary actions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Call the appropriate Value Stream Leader about situation you cannot personally address.Follow the escalation matrix (call list) to get assistance from upper management in case of emergency.Document situations using reports or investigation procedures.Overview safety rules.Responsible to secure building at the end of shift.Assists Value Stream Leader in coordinating the daily functions of operations; provides support when needed in the Value Stream Leader's absence.Develops and supports the electronics team in order to meet daily goals and guides the team in adherence to company policies and procedures.Completes electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools and test equipmentResponsible for reporting defective materials or questions/conditions.Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.Participate in continuous improvement activities and workspace organization improvement.COMPETENCIESTechnical capacityLearning OrientationLeadershipTime ManagementThoroughnessSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYSupervises 5 to 10 coworkers and report all issues to the Value Stream Leader.QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
