Responsibilities Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare is a 42-bed residential treatment facility that serves adolescent males with intellectual disabilities, psychiatric disorders, and behavioral problems. Our staff provide guidance, direction, and supervision of our young men. We are currently looking for an attentive, knowledgeable, flexible, dependable, and self-motivated individual to fulfill the role of Maintenance Technician. This is an entry-level position. PRN - will work as needed/as available with rotating on-call weeks (with on-call pay incentive). PRN positions do not qualify for benefits. This could be a great opportunity for an individual looking to pick up extra hours each week and/or expand their knowledge base. JOB DESCRIPTION: * The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties of skilled/semi-skilled nature which support the facility's preventive and restorative maintenance management programs. Qualifications ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment * Performs scheduled visual general inspection, checks, and tests on HVAC, Water, Wastewater Treatment, Fire Protection Systems, and Emergency Generator System * Solicits contractor assistance necessary * Inspects, services, and schedules maintenance in support of the facility's vehicle fleet * Performs assigned duties to maintain and upkeep facility buildings and grounds * Responds to customer work requests in a timely manner * Responds to emergency calls and renders appropriate assistance * Documents activities and outcome results * Practices good safety habits * Uses good judgment and problem-solving skills to render cost-effective services JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Must be at least 21 years of age * Must complete and pass a pre-hire drug screen & pre-hire background checks * Must be able to meet all training requirements * Must possess physical stamina to stand the majority of shift and to lift and move equipment and supplies * Physical demands require dexterity, good vision, ability to walk, stoop, bend and be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally * Must reflect behavior, attitude, and appearance appropriate to the position and be supportive of the facility and division philosophy, goals, and objectives EDUCATION: * High school education or equivalent is preferred * Must be able to read and write Liberty Point offers great employee benefits for our Full Time employees, including but not limited to: * Referral Bonus * Flexible Scheduling * Home/Work Life Balance * Career Development Opportunities within UHS and its subsidiaries * A Challenging and Rewarding Work Environment * Meals provided while on the job * Top-Notch Employee Assistance Program Liberty Point is a drug-free and alcohol-free workplace.
