Position Type: Family Center/Center Support SpecialistDate Posted: 5/16/2024Location: Family CenterDate Available: ASAPClosing Date: Until FilledThe Center Support Specialist works in collaboration with the Managing Director to provide daily oversight for all programs within the Family Center. This includes assisting with all aspects of compliance and program regulation, accreditation, licensing, staffing and professional development, curriculum, quality control, budgeting, parent and public relations. The Child Development Team Leader plays a key administrative role within Doorway to learning Childcare Center including: managing and approving staff schedules and time off; managing staff training records, and managing food service and mealtime practice in accordance with CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) requirements; auditing children's files to ensure compliance with licensing, NAEYC Accreditation, and School Readiness standards. The Child Development Team Leader provides program oversight for the Managing Director when he or she is not available.Education/Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or closely related field, and a minimum of 5 years of previous experience in an accredited child care program required. Master's degree with 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of, and experience with, child care licensing, accreditation, and Early Head Start also preferred.
