Maintenance Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:High School graduate or equivalentMechanical & electrical maintenance skillsPositive attitude toward team working & performing work assignmentsSound written and verbal communication skillsSelf motivated & self directed, requiring minimal supervisionWillingness and ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends, holidays, and other shift/sBasic computer skillsAccept and complete company paid training as available and deemed necessaryJOB DUTIES SUMMARY includes but not limited to:Performs maintenance functions for all manufacturing and related support equipment, grounds and facilities. Installation, troubleshooting, repair, servicing, and cleaning of same. Support & participate in ongoing TPM & TQM practices. Follow maintenance schedules and maintaining service records. Observe plant and departmental safety, operating, and housekeeping procedures. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE but are not limited to:Installation, troubleshooting, repairs of all manufacturing & related equipmentMaintain cleanliness of plant equipment and work area/sLearn & utilize computer skills as it pertains to specific equipment and departmental scheduling & record keepingPractice lock-out / tag-out proceduresMaintain inventory of supplies and spare componentsParticipate in and support of process improvement programsPHYSICAL ACTIVITIES Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
