Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianDepartment: OperationsPosition Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, overhauling and repairing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure safety policies, housekeeping rules and guidelines, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followedInterpret blueprints and schematics when working on machinesInstall, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipmentAbility to detect, isolate and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipmentAbility to Troubleshoot PLC'sInstall, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systemsAdjust machinery and repair or replace defective partsOperate machine tools such as welders, lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machineryClean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work on machineryAssemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipmentPerform preventative maintenanceComplete all paperwork as requiredOther duties as assignedPosition Requirements:High school graduate or equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years' mechanical and equipment experience in an industrial environmentStrong knowledge of health and safety legislationExperience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting and repairing various types of machinery and equipmentAble to weld and fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance or overhaulThorough knowledge of load bearing capabilities of the equipment to be installed, assembled or dismemberedDemonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specificationsGood written and verbal communication skillsOvertime may be requiredValid drivers license Travel may be requiredCompetencies:Time managementPlanning and organizingProblem solvingCreative and innovative thinkingDevelopment and continual learningAccountability and dependabilityDecision making and judgmentOperating equipmentMathematical reasoningResearch and analysisFollowing laws, rules and regulationsWeldingJob Type: Full-time Benefits:Health insurance Dental insurance Vision InsuranceLife insurance 401(k) 401(k) matching Paid time off Employee assistance program Referral program Tuition reimbursementShift: 8-hour shiftWork Location: In person, company does not provide relocation assistance Central Wire Group of Companies is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity andaffirmative action employer.
