Job Title: Maintenance - Machine Repair TechnicianReports to: Maintenance ManagerFLSA Status: Non-Exempt; HourlySchedule(s): 2nd Shift Monday through Friday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm // OT As necessary General Description:Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks: Highly prefer experience with Fanuc Controls Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production CNC Lathes and Mill (horizontal/vertical) machines and the plant facility's equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing and maintenance functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.Qualifications Requires a high school diploma/GED and 4 years production maintenance experience; Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with PLC experience. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.Physical Requirements Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items Responding to public address system announcements Walking and standing Lifting twenty-five (25) pounds or moreEnvironmental Job Requirements Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the shop, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface The shop environment can be dusty and noisy Door are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes Floors around work area may become slippery during wet weather conditions, or liquids such as coolants and oils from the machinery May have to handle parts with sharp edges Passing forklifts emit gas fumes Tools, supplies, and related materials may contain hazardous materials May have to occasionally work outdoors where temperatures and climate can fluctuatePersonal Protection Equipment The wearing of Safety Glasses when working on the shop floor.Management has the right to add or change these duties of the position at any time.Per Michigan Proposition 1, passed into law in 2019, we no longer drug test for THC. It is however not permitted on company property. All other illegal substances will be tested for during onboarding.
