Job SummaryUnder limited supervision, set up, start up, shutdown adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality. This is a 2nd shift position.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned BFS machines, trimmers, conveyors, automation, and ancillary equipment as needed.Perform routine troubleshooting of assigned equipment including packaging equipment and printers and correct issues, and escalate to leadership and/or more senior technicians as needed. Record all maintenance issues in e-maintenance system.Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems as appropriate and maintain accurate records of all operating logs for compressors, vacuum pumps, chillers, and other systems that are tested on a routine basis.Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events.Assist maintenance technicians in work that requires two people or when operational needs demand.Perform project work as assigned. Tasks include, but are not limited to, Mold cleaning, fill system rebuild, vacuum system trouble shooting. and maintaining operation logs.Test blow fill seal equipment to verify correct operation and production. Analyze and record cause of production delays on daily production reports and initiate procedures to solve equipment malfunctions. Examine defects and analyze spoilage causes and, where possible, take corrective action and verify the corrective action has eliminated the problems.Required Experience: Education High school diploma or equivalent.Experience 3 years of experience with Blow Fill Seal (BFS), Blow Molding, Injection Molding equipment repair and maintenance.Fundamental understanding of machinery/equipment.Basic skill level in multiple computer software packages including Microsoft Excel.Experience working with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems and ability to troubleshoot these systems - Willing to travel at least/up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).Must furnish own necessary hand tools.Physical Abilities:- Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week.Must be willing to learn new equipment as it is brought on-line.Ability to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work from a lying down position, work with your hands above your head.Willing to operate material handling equipment (i.e. fork truck).Write documents and reports using writing instruments and computers.Read information, often in small print (drawings).Follow appropriate safety procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc. and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards.Must be willing to work overtime as needed.Preferred Qualifications Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or equivalent.Graduate of an apprenticeship program or hold current trade certification.Physical activities necessary to perform one or more essential functions of the position:Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily - Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week.Ability to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work from a lying down position, work with your hands above your head.Willing to operate material handling equipment (i.e. fork truck). - Write documents and reports using writing instruments and computers - Read information, often in small print (drawings).Follow appropriate safety procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc. and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards.Ability to work overtime and must be available for on-call requests as needed.Benefits - Medline is committed to offering competitive benefits and a variety of choices to best meet the needs of you and your family.
