This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week. Job Summary:The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that the facility, its equipment and utilities are maintained in good working order and facility grounds are properly maintained. The scheduled hours will be between 7:30 am and 9:00 pm, Monday-Friday, however scheduled start and end times may vary.Essential Functions and Duties:Participate and assist in the maintenance of all company property including but not limited to equipment, buildings, grounds, and other items, as necessary.Provide basic facility support including but not limited to vendor coordination related to structural or equipment repairs and general upkeep of the facility and infrastructure.Clear and salt exterior walkways by 8:00 am on workdays.Ensure facility is in clean and orderly condition.Gain knowledge of the building infrastructure including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and others and ensure all remain in good working condition. Complete project work as directed, including but not limited to upgrades to equipment and facilities, and ground maintenance.? Complete daily preventive maintenance activities and contribute to the overall value by identifying opportunities and offering suggestions for improvement.Perform basic maintenance functions to the facility including but not limited to changing light bulbs, simple plumbing repairs, cleaning and painting, cleaning and repair of windows, doors and grounds, and others as needed.? Observe, adhere to and maintain current knowledge of all Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) and safety guidelines.Foster, facilitate and encourage a safe work environment and abide by all safety procedures and standards of the company.Provide prompt and courteous response to staff requests for maintenance support.Manage all vendor and contractor relations.Implement energy conservation strategies, preventative maintenance program, and capital replacement plans.Safeguard all facility manuals, and tools and keep maintenance office and shop areas clean and orderly.Attend the monthly Safety Council meetings in Summit County.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:At least 5 years of experienceMust possess or obtain the OSHA 10 Card.EducationMust have the ability to read and write in English and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.Must be able to relate positively and favorably with staff and to work cooperatively with other employees.Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.Must be mechanically inclined.Must be able to perform the essential functions of this job with or without accommodation.Valid Ohio driver's license.Able and willing to work in inclement weather.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:The successful candidate will have five or more years of applicable experience to be considered for this position.The successful candidate will have the ability to read journals, manuals, schematics, etc.; to read safety rules, drawings, and layout work. Understand and be able to demonstrate the troubleshooting and repairing of furnaces, boilers, water heaters, plumbing systems, door hardware, electrical systems etc.Some requirements may be waived in lieu of demonstrable experience in other areas.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
