Your tasks * Working with cross-functional and international teams on implementing local supply chains in North America for critical components * Preparing bid comparison sheets and supporting price negotiations with critical suppliers. * Preparing, executing, analyzing and presenting data from requests for quotes. * Supporting commodity group strategies for commodity groups such as machine and laser components, sheet metal, machined parts, etc. * Using SAP for data collection, invoice resolution and purchase requisition approvals to support the local operational team * Examples of potential daily work and long-term projects include preparing and supporting price negotiations with critical suppliers, preparing, executing and analyzing requests for quotes for production materials, analyzing discount ratings and suggesting improvement opportunities, material price comparisons between Europe and the USA for identical parts, supporting and developing the make or buy process, developing and updating exchange rate matrix, and supporting commodity group strategies Your profile * Enrolled student at a German university * Studies of industrial engineering, business management or equivalent course of studies * Interest in production and in technology offered by TRUMPF * Excellent knowledge of MS office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) * Very good command of written and spoken English * Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a multifunctional team and a fast-paced environment * Strong dedication to improvement and analytical skills * TRUMPF knowledge is a plus Your benefits * Support during visa process and partial coverage of visa costs as well as provision of an accomodation * State-of-the-artwork environment with the latest technology * Early assumption of responsibility and varied tasks * Broad range of training offers * Respectful and appreciative corporate culture Location: Farmington (USA) Start: Summer term 2025 Duration: 6 months Did we convince you?
