Weyerhaeuser's Greenville Lumber Facility, located in Grifton, NC, is currently searching for an experienced leader to fill the role of Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is a key member of the Greenville leadership team and reports to the Production Superintendent. As Production Supervisor, you will manage safety, quality, productivity, cost, and continuous improvement in the Sawmill process. Additionally, you will lead the team by proactively resolving employee issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures fairly and consistently. Key Behaviors * Role models safety standards and behaviors aligned with Weyerhaeuser core principles for integrity, sustainability, and community * Develops and maintains a strong product knowledge base * Creates a positive work environment, effectively interfaces with other departments, and ensures open communication among associates and other stakeholders * Partners with Dry Side manufacturing, Shipping, Value Team, Maintenance and other leadership/teams for the implementation/management of optimization throughout the mill, including production scheduling, asset utilization, and maintenance activities * Helps to manage the daily activities of the facility to meet unit goals * Facilitates the planning of production activities, budgets, and capital project activities * Promotes continuous improvement/innovation and leads team to anticipate and adapt to change * Facilitates effective management and development of the workforce * Ensures compliance with all applicable Weyerhaeuser, federal, state, and local laws & regulation * High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) * Demonstrated experience in safely leading manufacturing processes, preventive maintenance, productivity, and/or cost process improvements * Strong computer, mathematical, and analytical skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office software * Effective in process control applications such as spreadsheets and databases * Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and coach a team * Demonstrated self-starter with excellent time management skills, and the ability to perform with minimum supervision * Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within an organization * Excellent communication (written, verbal, and listening) skills * Ability to effectively facilitate and encourage change management * Strong independent problem-solving and organization skills * Candidates must attach a resume to their application for further consideration Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field * Knowledge and experience in lumber manufacturing preferred * Work-related experience in production environment * Hands-on experience working with optimizing systems * Knowledge of Maintenance Planning Software, such as Maximo or SAP * Working knowledge of business and financial concepts * Demonstrated results in achieving and sustaining business goals Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $66,700.00 - $100,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. Retirement: Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary. Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use.
