Come join a great team!SHIFT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THIS POSITION - 1ST ShiftESSENTIAL DUTIES:• Promote and Maintain a Safety First work environment and Culture. • Follow and Adhere to Company Safety Policies. • Attend bi-weekly Leads meeting and conduct employee safety/communication meetings as needed. • Maintain/Monitor housekeeping (5S or COPS) within the production areas. • Manage environmental compliance of the Shading Department according to EHS standards. • Follow and adhere to company standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Develop/maintain standard operating procedures for the Shading Department. • Identify potential off-quality products during the process and initiates appropriate corrective actions through established company abnormal or STCAT (Short Term Corrective Action Team) process. • Maintain/Monitor all equipment calibration and performance. • Promote a harassment-free environment. • Represent NB Coatings and the Shading Department professionally when interacting with all employees and internal and external customers. • Coordinate the daily, weekly, and monthly activities of the Shading Department Operators, including appropriate scheduling for weekend coverage. • Monitor Shading Department performance against the department goals established by the QC Manager. • Approve Color and QC of batches for shipment.• Aid or develop Color and/or QC adjustments for Operators.• Utilize company IT equipment such as SAP, Microsoft Access Database, & Microsoft Office to monitor department processes, operator performance, audit analysis, and additional activities as required. • Confer with other departments to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods. • Provide and/or coordinate training for employees.• Perform audits of department processes.• Manage basic maintenance of the Shading Department. • Manage/control job floor material inventory of the Shading Department. • Maintain inventory of department supplies needed to complete production. • Participate on team projects and act as Team Leader for Departmental activities. • Administer performance appraisals in a prompt and professional manner.• Update/control Visual Process Control for the Shading Department. • Assist in the daily activities of the team including batch making, shading, QC, abnormal/formula hold/STCAT entry, or filling of batches.• Perform job activities in Operations areas outside of the Shading Department as required. • Assure movement of waste from generation point to 90-day storage area• Properly close and label waste containers using NB Coatings procedures• Ensure employees complete their monthly online safety training.• Additional duties as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are the representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
