As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining all converting equipment to minimize downtime, including setup, operation, cleanup and recommendation of improvements.4th Shift Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM - Work 36 Hours, Get Paid for 40!At The Royal Group, we are committed to our employees. We continually seek the best people combined with the most innovative software, machinery, and technology the industry has to offer.The Royal Group's mission is to provide value-added solutions to the most demanding customers.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:Reports to Maintenance Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes availableDemonstrate ability to teach other maintenance classifications in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance proceduresRegular and predictable attendanceConduct selective inventory monthly of maintenance parts and suppliesDemonstrate ability to use all aspects of the maintenance software programOrder parts and suppliesDemonstrate ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other maintenance according to their abilities and limitationsAttend all plant safety meetingsImprove career skills by enrolling in seminars, technical courses and related college coursesPractice safe work habits at all timesAttend all maintenance planning meetingsFollow up on all work orders to ensure repairs and work are performed properlyMaximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speedComplete all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely mannerComply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeepingAbility to work overtime as the job requiresPerform maintenance cleanup daily, weekly and monthlyAdditional duties as assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GEDPreferred that employees have prior work experience in corrugated industry or other 2-4 years' work experience.May be required to maintain a current Forklift Operator license and/or other appropriate certification to work in certain areas or on certain equipmentREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:Ability to add, to subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use tape measure; and to use a computerAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees of the organizationAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
