ECI is seeking a results-driven, highly motivated self-starter to fill an independent contractor Field Service technician role. The person in this role must present outstanding communications skills working directly with our Professional Services team and our clients to ensure successful ALORA machine intelligence platform connectivity throughout the implementation process. In this job you will work on a variety of production equipment and process systems controlled by PLC and CNC controllers to ensure successful installation, integration and performance of ALORA client platforms. Primary Responsibilities: * Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and ensuring seamless connectivity * Responsible for all aspects of controls: From electrical/hardware drawing, PLC programming, troubleshooting and commissioning * Project Site installation and commissioning * Interpret and read electrical diagrams * Ongoing troubleshooting with client technical and manufacturing teams * Ensure standards and procedures are followed * Participate in product, technical, systems and customer support trainings to rapidly learn the nuances of Discrete Manufacturer space and the ALORA product * Understand and manage external and internal customer expectations * Ability to communicate effectively with CNC machinist as well as the senior leadership Requirements: * Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation * Knowledge of and experience with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems * Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides. * Programming knowledge of various industry PLC's * Ethernet I/P and Profibus integration experience * Knowledge in NEC, NFPA, UL and CE codes * Available to work overtime as necessary to meet customer project commitments. * PLC programming proficiency * Knowledge of Ethernet IP, Device Net, and CC Link structures * Must have strong knowledge of electrical controls and interfacing of equipment Required Skills Experience: * Experience in related technical field - with 5+ years of experience working in related mechanical, electrical, controls or engineering position * 5+ years of electronic and mechanical experience. * 5+ years of field service experience in automation/controls, including: * PLC programming * Ethernet IP, Device Net, and CC Link structures * Interpreting and reading electrical diagrams * Project site installation and commissioning * Demonstrated mastery of Manufacturing safety practices and requirements * Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for performing component installation as needed. * Able and willing to travel up to 50% #LI-REMOTE In addition to our competitive salary and award winning culture, we offer an excellent benefit package.
