In this role, the successful candidate Provides patient care units with supplies and equipment; maintains equipment availability and function; must be capable of developing and maintaining an organized system of inventories.Job Responsibilities:Equipment - Ensures all patient care equipment is clean / working order. Maintains par levels and reports discrepancies to Supervisor. Retrieves equipment from various locations and returns them to their respective units. Transports non-functioning equipment to clinical engineering or appropriate department. Assembles, locates and maintains equipment (specific to unit) i.e. trapez, CPMs, Hip Chairs, etc. Reviews clinical engineering expiration dates and returns outdated equipment to CE.Performs other duties as assigned.Supplies - Ensures par level deliveries are accurate and reports discrepancies to Supervisor. Orders stock and monitors supply items. Notify supply variances and makes recommendations par adjustments. Enter HIS patient charge order. Stocks and maintains items in an orderly manner. Retrieves and returns item to various departments when requested. Maintains accurate records i.e. IOIs, HIS report, and makes reports available to Supervisor as needed.Communications / Behavior - Seeks assistance from supervisor when faced with unresolved interdepartmental interactions. Cooperates and communicates courteously, professionally, and effectively with all Hospital staff (including physicians), patients, their families and the general public. Maintains the confidentiality of patient, physician and hospital related information. Listens carefully to others in order to respond appropriately, answer questions, or obtain needed information. Communicates ideas, problems, suggestions, and messages in timely and effective manner. Independently performs duties, completes assignments in a timely manner, and maintains a safe work environment.Attendance / Reliability - Provides proper notification of absence or tardiness. Arrives to work, on time, as scheduled. Maintains acceptable attendance pattern. Adheres to departmental guidelines concerning sick time, vacation, personal days, and any other unpaid/ paid leaves.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a High school diploma or GED. A minimum of one year of clinical practice as a Nursing Attendant, or Patient Care Assistant, in a hospital environment (certification is not required). The salary range for the role is $43,542.67 - $47,938.35 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
