Field Safety Specialist - Lead Category Safety Position Field Safety Specialist - Lead Description **_Overview:_** Field Safety Specialist coordinates and participates in the investigation of incidents, accidents and near misses, audit and conduct regulatory reviews on risk assessment. The Field Safety Specialist Lead monitors the implementation of safe work procedures and maintains and updates all relevant information to the Safety Department. The position reports to the Director of Safety and Supervisor to ensure that Feeney Brothers' employees and subcontractors comply with requirement of legislation by monitoring site compliance. **_Responsibilities:_** + Conduct site safety, health, and environment quality audits + Inspect site activities for safety compliance + Manage on-site corrective actions + Share findings with supervision for follow up + Intervene at-risk activities + Provide on-site review and training if needed + Provide consultation as needed + Assist with incident reporting and root cause initiatives (injury/illness, property damage, etc.) + Assist with reporting process + Collect and verify incident reports + Assist with the IA process and report + Participate in industry conferences, programs, initiatives, etc. + Provide safety training on company procedures and regulatory compliance + Actively participate in self-development and growth Position Requirements **_Qualifications:_** + Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental safety, or related field + 2+ years of experience in construction safety or related field + Knowledge of OSHA standards, regulations, and construction site safety procedure + Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential risks + Pro-active with ability to work independently and take initiative + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work efficiently with a diverse team + Certification in safety management (e.g., OSHA 30 Construction, CSP, CHST) is a plus + Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software Salary Req Number SAF-24-00006 Location Worcester EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
