Maintenance Technician

Job Title : Maintenance Technician Duration: 4+ months Contract Pay Range: $23 - $24/hr Work Type:  Onsite Location: Whippany, NJ About the Role: We're seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Whippany, NJ. As a key member of our facilities team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our building and equipment. Your responsibilities will include general maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, and light sheetrock work. Assist with repairs and preventive maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and other facility equipment. Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety procedures. Provide timely support for various requests, such as audiovisual setup and furniture arrangements. Assist with building and grounds upkeep, including cleaning and maintenance. Utilize power tools and testing equipment effectively. Maintain accurate records and reports. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 8-10 years of experience in maintenance or related fields. Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of maintenance techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving and time management skills. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency with basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
