An LPN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and handles a diverse range of tasks, including administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures, and documenting the clinical data of patients, among other duties.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensures the care and safety of all residents in the nursing unitEnsures that individual care plans are followedAdministers and documents medications, treatments, and other nursing servicesMakes a count of controlled substances on the assigned nursing unitRecords current condition of assigned resident in EMRReceives and gives an accurate report of the resident condition at shift changeCommunicates to the nursing team and medical provider as indicated and requiredAssists in the orientation of new staffMaintains competency in all the tasks needed by CMSREQUIREMENTS:Minimum 18 years of ageNew York State (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse licensureStrong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferredPhysical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 poundsABOUT US:The McGuire Group is a portfolio of six health care facilities in New York state, including: Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg; Brookhaven Health Care Facility in East Patchogue; Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga; Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville; Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda and Seneca Health Care Center in West Seneca.
