The Project Manager will support the Fully Integrated Lifecycle Mission Support Services 2 (FILMSS 2) contract at NASA Ames Research Center at Moffet Field in California. This role provides science, engineering, project management and operations support for a variety of complex projects to ensure project safety & mission assurance. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Administers an effective Safety and Mission Assurance program in compliance with applicable customer contracts and other guidelines set forth by NASA flight systems group requirements throughout the contract life cycle. * Conduct engineering, analysis, testing, risk management, and quality assurance functions for spacecraft and aerospace systems, including all program phases from concept through operational use. * Represents Mission Assurance at various review boards including Configuration Control Board (CCB), Engineering Change Board (ECR), Risk and Opportunity Management Board (ROMB), Corrective Action Board (CAB), Readiness Reviews, & Failure/Material Review Board (FRB/MRB) * Develop mission assurance technical reports and analysis of results and conclusions to support risk-informed decision making. Recommend or initiate improvements to systems/operations to reduce hazards and facilitate safe and successful mission objectives. * Responsible for Task Order execution and performance. * Oversee all preparation of Task Orders. * Conduct the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of contracts and subcontracts. * Review and approve all contractual documents for contractual posture, customer satisfaction, Customer specifications, and adherence to policies. * Schedules and coordinates flow of work through various departments to expedite production. * Establish priorities for specific Task Orders and revises schedule according to specifications, priorities, available manpower, parts, materials, etc. * Liaison between project members, cross-functional teams and other stakeholders. * Other duties as assigned. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. * This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to the sensitivity of customer related information. * Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of engineering or science. * Must have 10+ years of recent and related work experience. * Must have management/supervisory experience. * Must have experience managing government Task Orders/programs. * Must have experience with the responsibilities listed above. DESIRED: * Previous project or program management experience in the space industry. * PMP Certification * Prior NASA experience WORK LOCATION: * This position is located onsite. * This position may require some travel. BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED: All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check, some positions require a clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process. DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED: All Bastion employees must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen; some contracts require participation in periodic random drug and alcohol screening programs. STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS: * Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite. * All of Bastion's employees must be team players. * Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers. * Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives. * Must have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented. * Must be organized with good time management skills. * Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task. * Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). * May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time). * Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical. * Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
