Modification Technician - Portland OR

About the role: WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Portland OR. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors. Primary Responsibilities: * Modify electric motors per customer specification. * Produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop. * Work with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issues. * Be proficient enough with Word and Excel to produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop. * Work in conjunction with the warehouse team to insure proper placement of modified motors in inventory. * Support the Mod Shop Lead in accomplishing team goals and projects. * Other duties as assigned. Education: * High School Diploma or GED preferred. Knowledge / training: * Strong knowledge of low voltage AC motors. * Ability to handle manual and power tools. * Understand and follow safety procedures. * Familiar with modification procedures. * Familiar with the inventory control system. * Proficient with Microsoft Office. * Strong knowledge of industry certification requirements. * Strong mechanical aptitude.
