**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** 12 Hour Day Shift **Description:** Posting Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center in Cohoes, NY has an opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to further their nursing skills as a leader and develop strong bonds with their residents and coworkers! The team is looking for a LPN to work Full- Time Days and are willing to help train those looking to change direction in their nursing career! Eddy Memory Care at Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center is a memory care community complete with 52 private and semi-private rooms providing comfortable, secure living in an environment designed for safety and independence. Programs serve individuals with early to mid-stage memory impairment - those with difficulties that require watchfulness and a supportive environment, but who do not need nursing home care. The center is thoughtfully designed and services are tailored for individuals with memory loss, Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. As a member of our caring, compassionate health care professionals the selected LPN will enjoy: + Great shift differentials + Minimal mandating + Great co-workers that will become like a second family + Work in an environment that is like a tradition "grandma's" house atmosphere + Strong relationship building with residents and their families + Location that is an easy commute from Clifton Park, Albany, Troy and Latham + Support and development from a leadership team that is invested in furthering career goals and education The selected LPN will be responsible for, but not limited to: + The nursing care of residents under the direction of the Nursing Director + Oversee a team of resident assistants + Pass medications to approximately 26 residents + Education of families on how to help care for their loved ones with memory loss and how to get the most success in their visits **Minimum Requirements:** + Valid NYS LPN license **Preferred Requirements:** + 1+ year of experience as a LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skills + 1+ year working in memory care in a direct care position highly desired + Maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities + Communicate effectively in a fast pace work environment + Engage within a team setting + Strong leadership and mentorship of the Resident Assistant staff + Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field **Pay Range:** $24.00 - $30.10 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
