Veterinarian We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Small Animal Veterinarian to join our current 3-doctor team at East Hampton Veterinary Group. What to Expect Salary: $130,000+ per year + pro-sal Location: 22 Montauk Hwy, East Hampton, NY 11937 Schedule: Open to full-time or part-time, flexible options available Hours of operation: * Monday through Saturday: 8am-4pm * Sunday: closed As you join our mission to providing the best pet care on the East End, expect to be supported in your work and personal life with: * A schedule that respects your time. No on-call duties or holiday work are required! You will consistently work 4 days per week, Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. * A 3:1 staff to doctor ratio. You will have the support-and respect-you need to be excellent for our patients. We've got your back. Our current team consists of 3 DVMs, 5 Assistants, and 3 CSRs. About East Hampton Veterinary Group East Hampton Veterinary Group is a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to pets in the East End. Today, Dr. Kenneth Palmer is the owner of the oldest veterinary practice on the East End. He combines traditional and homeopathic medicine with Chinese herbal treatments and acupuncture to provide leading medical and surgical care. We're focused on making sure our hospital has the right tools to allow our current 3-doctor team and medical staff the ability to provide excellent service and care. In addition to diagnostic and preventative services, our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, in-house labs, and echocardiogram. Our small animal practice offers elective surgeries, dental treatments, and high standards of care. We also offer TPLO/TTA, acupuncture, fear-free, and ocular tonometry. Who are we looking for? Not only do you love dogs and cats, but you are enthusiastic about surgery and have the basics (spay, neuter, dentistry, tumor removals, etc.) covered. Responsibilities: * Perform comprehensive medical examinations on small animals including dogs and cats * Diagnose illnesses and recommend appropriate treatment plans * Perform surgeries ranging from routine spays/neuters to more complex procedures * Provide emergency medical care when necessary during regular hours * Educate clients on preventive care and promote overall pet wellness * Maintain detailed and accurate records of patients' diagnoses, treatments, and progress Requirements: * Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent * State veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain) * Flexible work schedule, with availability to work some Saturdays and holidays * Surgical skills and ability to handle a variety of medical cases * Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues * Compassionate approach to patient care and client interactions * Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team * Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment
