Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy.Employees | Value | Execution | RelationshipsJOB SUMMARYUnder limited supervision performs work requiring extensive automotive, hydraulic system, and mechanical knowledge in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and construction equipment. THIS POSITION IS REQUIRED TO TRAVEL.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThree years of experience and/or training in maintenance and repair of trucks and/or heavy equipment, education in diesel technology or related field or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust have a class A CDL and DOT Medical Card (or be able to obtain within 6 months)Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record according to legal requirementsMust have own toolsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSWelding experienceExperience with electrical systemsHydraulic experienceKEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIESConsiderable knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.Familiar with mechanical design and fabrication.Experience with electrical systems, including computerized induction/ignition systems.Skills including the use of power and hand tools, the use of diagnostic equipment, and experience with the operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.Communicate effectively verbally and written.Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnoses, rebuild and repair vehicles and heavy equipmentPerforms inspections and preventive maintenancePrepares and maintains records and reportsSet-up new equipment and vehiclesSafely drive various vehicles and/or transport equipmentConduct all work with established safety procedurePerform additional duties as assignedWork Schedule: 10 hour shifts Monday - Friday, with the occasion SaturdayTravel Required (Including overnight travel)EXAMPLES OF TYPES OF EQUIPMENTAltec aerial EquipmentHeavy Duty Construction Equipment: Vermeer, CAT, TerexHeavy Duty Diesel: Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, Freight Liner, Kawasaki, Ford, CAT, Cummins, Detroit, Allison, Power-stroke, etc.Automotive Diesel: Ford, ChevroletCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSSalary is negotiable based on experience and education.Free Monthly Premium Medical Plan offeredCompetitive Benefits including Health, Dental and VisionCompany provided Life with the option to purchase additional coverageCompany provided AD&D insurance with the option to purchase additional coverageHealth Savings Account with Employer ContributionFlexible Spending account with both Health Care Spending and Dependent Care Spending Account401(k) with employer match (fully vested)Additional Special Contribution into 401(k)Profit sharing9 paid holidaysPTO (vacation/sick)Annual Bonus IncentiveWeekly Clothing allowanceADDITIONAL INFORMATIONBackground check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans.
