Then join us in North Grafton, MA!What You'll DoThe Truck Driver must have an up-to-date CDL and a clean driving record. The Truck Driver is responsible for the proper delivery of all completed finished goods to both customers and on site and for ensuring that products arrive safely and on schedule. The Truck Driver will report directly to the Warehouse Foreman. This position currently requires two round trips to NY, each week, spanning from Monday - Thursday.Communicate and coordinate with Shipping & Warehouse Foreman in Grafton and Shipping teams in Niagara Falls and Tonawanda.Obey and follow applicable traffic lawsSupervise loading and unloading of product on/off trucks and ensure product is secureUtilize ELD system to report all pertinent driving duty informationMaintain documentation for mileage and product, keep track of mileage, fuel and toll expensesMaintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulationsInspect truck daily for damage or maintenance problemsPlan routes and meet delivery schedulesComply with truck driving rules and regulationsReport defects, accidents, and violations.Interact with customers in a professional mannerPerform pre-and post-trip vehicle inspection reportsRecord product deliveriesClean and service equipment on a routine basisSupport local customer deliveries when needed to cover vacationPerform other necessary duties and projects as assignedWhat You'll NeedTo be successful in this position, you must:Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent Valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Minimum 5 years Class A CDL driving experienceAbility to lift up to 50lbsStrong knowledge of safety regulations, to be familiar with not just traffic laws but rules regarding how often they are required to rest, maximum miles driven etc.Visual and hearing acuity, in accordance with federal regulations Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehiclesWho We AreWashington Mills is built on values that matter.
