Primarily works as a facilitator, coordinating with the other departments to ensure sufficient resources are available for production teammates so that they may perform to the highest degree possible. Audits the personnel and food safety as well as the cleanliness of the plant operation, taking immediate and specific action anytime either personnel or food safety or cleanliness is unacceptable. Able to coach, evaluate, train, and discipline teammates as necessary to ensure they reach their full potential. Handles confidential information (personnel records) with discretion. Able to perform with minimal supervision. Able to provide positive leadership to teammates in order to meet or exceed quality and productivity goals in a consistent, safe manner.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEducate, develop and motivate a manufacturing work group to achieve required production results, improving individual technical skills and enabling collaboration across boundariesEnsure that production facilities and finished products meet the company and government standards for quality, sanitation, and safetyEstablish and sustain sound relationships with all employees in order to foster an environment where innovative methods are used to involve others in creative solutions to issuesProvide business leadership which demonstrates commitment to department and plant objectives on a day-to-day basisFacilitate, coach, counsel, and guide the manufacturing work group to ensure that they have the ability to deliver results year over year through the use of continuous improvement tools and strategiesFunction as a technical resource in areas of system operations and product requirementsFacilitate the effective interchange of information between work groups, cross-functional resources, and other members of the plant and corporate teamsPerforms other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTBachelor's Degree preferred3+ years of prior experience as a supervisor or related experienceDemonstrated understanding of technology and providing solutions to technical challengesStrong conceptual skills and ability to implement changeSound analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to plan, lead, and execute strategic initiatives in a complex environmentMature approach to challenging situations and environmentsExperience successfully leading projects or other large improvement plan initiatives is preferredWilling to take risks in decision-making and implementation of improvementsDesire and ability to lead change in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environmentExcellent interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, electronic, listening and feedback communicationsAbility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and changeAbility to motivate team members and to help them develop pride and ownershipOther details Pay Type Salary Apply Now
