This position has responsibility for all operators on the shift in Finishing and EMV as well as Quality, Audit, Shipping and Receiving. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-4:00am Responsibilities Responsibilities: * Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations. Estimate work hour requirements for completion of job assignment. * Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. * Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications. * Coordinates efforts between shifts to achieve safety, quality, and on-time delivery requirements. * Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. * Check products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines * Check products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines. * Interprets job specifications and requirements to workers, and assigns duties. * Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards and production schedule. * Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product * Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. * Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. * Resolves worker complaints or submits unsettled complaints to Finishing Manager for action. * Ensures data integrity for all shop floor transactions (material, labor, schedule, quality, and audit). * Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. * Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials. * Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments * Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data Qualifications Requirements: * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The candidate must be able to interface with a PC. They must have minimal supervisory skills and training.Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (studies in business, manufacturing, and/or quality); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers * Ability to add, subtract multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form * Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience required * Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary Physical Demands: * Ability to be present in the facility and work a minimum of 40 hours per week; * Hours are minimum 40 hours per week during company's regular business hours however evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand; ability to be available for all shifts required; * Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus; * Work is in a typical manufacturing environment; prolonged sitting and/or standing required (1-2 hours at a time); ability to move around the facility; climb ladders; crawl under/over; reach; bend; stoop; lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
