Full-time (40 hours/week)Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00 on-call hours required on a rotational schedule The Maintenance Technician provides responsive building and grounds maintenance adhering to hospital-safety and regulatory standards. The Maintenance Technician works independently and efficiently ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for the Center; repairing any problems when they are discovered and before they have a chance to worsen or fail, reporting to the Facilities Lead Maintenance Technician and/or the Facilities Director. The Maintenance Technician will have direct contact with patients, staff and visitors and should possess exceptional customer service qualities and extensive technical knowledge. Our ideal candidate is a multi-talented effective communicator with an in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures equipped with strong problem-solving abilities.Job Duties & Responsibilities: Supports the overall maintenance of the Austen Riggs' buildings, grounds and internal building systems. Conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs, maintaining inventory, and recommending preventative maintenance solutions.Inspecting buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any safety issues and coordinating repairs with patients and staff.Performing routine maintenance around the building, such as fixing structural damage, performing window, door, or wall repairs.Performing general maintenance tasks which include snow removal, painting, and office moves.Providing oversight for the maintenance of mechanical equipment, appliances, plumbing, heating units, air-conditioning, locks, wood works, phones, and other communications systems.
