As a Stockroom employee your responsible for accepting shipments from venders and filling orders for production. You will receive 5% employer match on 6% employee contribution to 401(k) - worth at least $1,400; Also- quarterly pay progression review; holiday pay; and first- year paid vacation of up to 40 hours after 3 month training period! Plus, earn a monthly production bonus of up to two (2) extra dollars for every hour worked in a month for reaching production targets! Hours-Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. Hours are subject to change when neededThe Stockroom employee contributes to the continuous improvement of the warehouse facility in the following areas: Safety:Identifies safety HazardsReports any safety concernsHelps resolve safety issuesMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to lift 35 lbs as part of the job functionQuality:Ensures proper loading and protecting of materialsVerifies quality on a continuing basisInitiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systemsIdentify and record any issues relating to product, processes and/or qualityInitiate, recommend, or provide solutions through appropriate channelsVerify the implementation of solutionsProductivity:Receives items by unloading vehicles, accepting deliveries, unpacking containersVerifies items received by inspecting condition of items, comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list, and noting discrepanciesDocuments items received by recording in MRP systemTransfers orders received, routes, and delivers items to requesting departmentPrepares shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containersShips items by verifying and identifying materials and quantity and condition of items Generates shortage report when stocking levels become lowCycle counts materials by part number to insure record accuracyMaintains stock room in neat and orderly manner to insure inventory accuracy Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Broad knowledge of production, parts, and productForklift License or ExperienceLean Manufacturing ExperienceFamiliar with AX softwareDemonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and OutlookExcellent organization, documentation, and customer service skillsJob Type: Full-timeWork Environment: Noisy; varying temperatures, depending upon seasonWork Authorization: No calls or agencies please.
