The qualified candidate will work a 12-hour day/night rotating shift in support of our 7 days a week, continuous operation. Primary Responsibility: The safe and efficient operation of all Utility (air compressors, boilers, cooling towers, chillers, water pits), HVAC, Wastewater Treatment, Water Treatment, and Fire Protection systems. This will include monitoring, inspections, and equipment preventive maintenance as given by the Maintenance Supervisor and Shift Supervisor. In addition, will be required to perform first line defense maintenance support for the above systems equipment, and process equipment Responsibilities: * Troubleshooting and repair of all utility equipment and systems including but not limited to, steam boiler plant, air compressors, chillers, towers, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and humidification systems. * Preventive and Predictive maintenance of all equipment and systems. * Perform safety inspections of equipment, process systems and various utility areas including chemical treatment, waste water treatment, sand filters, fire pump and water storage tank, and fire protection systems. Take meter readings and monitor utility consumption, including gas, electricity and water. * Order parts and supplies and maintain utility spare parts inventory. * Housekeeping of Utility Equipment and Utility Areas. * Provide coverage for Rotating Utility Technician Team for scheduled vacations or emergencies. Requirements * HS Diploma or GED * Has demonstrated the ability to work safely, has high regard for safety of self and others * 3-5 Years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment operating and maintaining boilers, HVAC equipment, chillers, compressors, and wastewater equipment * Two years of vocational/technical training, certifications or equivalent experience, preferred * Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make recommendations for improvements * Ability to work well independently and in a team • Good organization skills and the ability to manage projects * Committed to completing required training as needed, which may require overtime during breaks. * Some examples would be: * Boiler training * Air conditioning and refrigeration * Electrical control systems * Applied hydraulics and hydrostatics Successful candidate must meet the minimum internal criteria of M3 core competencies up to the M5 level based on experience. This includes performing basic and intermediate equipment repair and replacement, basic and intermediate use of maintenance shop equipment, daily checks of assigned equipment, basic and intermediate troubleshooting of equipment failures. Rate of pay is $31.75 to $37.83/hour depending on experience. Night shifts receive an additional $1/hour shift differential.
