Role/ Department: Senior Project Manager, Litigation, Investigations & Regulatory Enforcement/Legal This position provides vital support to the Litigation, Investigation and Regulatory Enforcement group in the Legal Department. The Litigation, Investigation and Regulatory Enforcement group has a global mandate, advising all Northern Trust entities on an array of legal matters, including pre-litigation business problems, corporate and representative litigation, government inquiries, cyber, privacy and internal investigations. This role is essential to fulfilling these responsibilities and ensuring that NT globally is best served. The key responsibilities of the role include: * Responsible for developing, implementing, administering, and managing litigation and investigation related projects for the Legal Department, including multiple smaller/less complex projects or work streams. * Conducts preliminary analysis and interviews to determine information needs and the location of repositories of information. * Conducts complex research and prepares summaries of findings. * Owns assigned tracking and reporting responsibilities, including those related to litigation and vendor management. * Provides assistance in responding to regulatory inquiries, regulatory complaints, and subpoenas. * Responsible for coordinating a given legal project or program to successful outcome. * Responsible for aligning resources, overseeing the budget, creating project plans and tracking key milestones/risks/dependencies. * May handle miscellaneous litigation matters and assist in coordination of electronic discovery efforts. * Effectively and respectfully interacts with partners (e.g., relationship managers, Risk/Compliance, Tax, Legal Department, Human Resources) or external parties (e.g., regulators, other financial institutions, investigations staff) in the course of information gathering, as appropriate. Skills/Qualifications: * Ability to operate independently and to balance between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities. * Project management capabilities, strong analytical ability, strong judgment, extraordinary communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients, management and staff. * A College or University degree * Ability to work in our Chicago office at least 3 days a week The successful candidate will benefit from having: * Familiarity with litigation, investigations or regulatory enforcement matter in a corporate environment * Related industry experience and/or a legal degree Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid) We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.
