Lead Maintenance Technician

Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Lead Maintenance Tech for our Plant Ops department. This job is permanent, full-time. Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: * Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs industrial equipment and systems as scheduled or needed. This includes various water pumps, vacuum pumps, compressors, electric bel driven and direct drive motors, boilers, HVAC, and pneumatic systems. * Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons. * Phone system networking. * Inspects, tests, and maintains records for all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors, and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems. * Leading co-works during projects to completion. * Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage. Electrical Functions * Troubleshoot and install safety circuits on industrial electrical panels as needed. * Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings. * Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables. * Ensures piping complies with electrical codes. * Installs circuit brakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them. * Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation. * Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed. * Replaces conduit and wiring as needed. * Replaces circuit breakers as needed. Plumbing Functions * Valves/water supply, drainage, and plumbing schematics.
