Job Brief: The Project Manager maintains the project budget and ensures compliance with time schedules and quality on project equipment. Works with the Sales Groups, Sales Proposal Engineer, and the Production Department. This position is in our Danieli Service Center located in Ashland, KY. Tasks and Day-to-Day Activities in the role: * Develop project Scopes of Work for the Sales Groups and the Production Department * Identify parts to be procured or refurbished, subsequently working with: * The Proposal Engineer to purchase commercial items and intercompany components * The Production Department to purchase factory materials, outsourced machining and fabrication activities * Ensure compliance with project time schedules, cost control and quality * Ensure synergy between the Sales Groups and the Production Department * Provide constant feedback to the customer on the progress of the project until completion * Perform Risk Assessments, through a constant monitoring of Production Department activities in order to mitigate cost overages and project delays * Reduce the starting time of project activities by developing content for and coordinating project kick-off meetings * Provide project status updates for Sales Groups and Service management * Procure and interpret drawings for the execution of the required production works * Write technical reports for Customer evaluation and for internal record keeping * Provide technical and financial data to the Proposal Engineer to execute project post-mortems * Maintain database of electronic documentation for each project * Domestic and international travel is required (10%-15%) * Strengthen and maintain the company's culture and values through: * exemplary behaviors through facts, demanding the same from colleagues, for a teamwork aimed at the achievement of company targets; * safeguard of the company ethics and discipline with method, observance of rules, pragmatism and good example; * encouraging, taking pride in and motivating the team in relation to the importance of the goals achieved or to be achieved. Skills and Must Have's: * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field * 0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering functions, project management, design, or technical sales * A desire to work in a Steel Industry Service Center environment * Strong verbal and written communication skills with a "Team Player" mindset * Expert mechanical problem solver with strong critical thinking skills * Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project Conditions of Employment: Position is drug screen and background contingent.
