ABOUT THE ROLE The production service team ensures customer issues are addressed to the customer's satisfaction in a timely manner in accordance with Cavco warranties and commitments. Ensuring ongoing customer loyalty and brand support is a key driver of production service team success.The Field Service Technician resolves customer issues on site at times identifying and addressing the defect issues themselves within Cavco's warranties and commitments. Technician will assist customers with understanding their product purchase. This role may work independently or under direct supervision executing specific process steps under continuous quality review and coaching as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Installs and repairs Cavco products, and performs on-site post-installation repair, calibration, and maintenance as scheduled or required, applying knowledge of general home repairs.Checks work orders and related manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to determine tasks to be performed and tools, equipment, and parts needed for completion of repair assignment.Discusses assignment with customer or customer's representative the work order and repairs necessary.Conducts routine preventative maintenance according to established guidelines and schedules.Ensures that Cavco products meet defined specificationsWork closely with factory management, service and parts department to ensure a seamless customer service experience. Start to finish of all homeowner service and dealership repairs following the company mission and principles.May train customers in operation of equipment and assist with helping the customer obtain non factory warranty service. (IE: appliances)May be on-call and perform emergency repairs during off-business hours.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school graduate1 - 3 years previous relevant, related experienceDemonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issuesDemonstrated in-depth customer service historyEffective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal, and external customersAbility to work in a fast pace environmentAttention to detailMust perform job duties using safety practices at all times.Flexible with a positive outlookGeneral knowledge and ability to repair all aspects of construction build with the ability to train and grow with Cavco.Must have valid drivers license and good driving record.
