It is the essence of how we interact and work--it's how things get done at BlueCrest.Job DescriptionSUMMARY:The Asc Director Production Control is responsible for material planning, inventory management, and production control for manufactured products. Will work cross-functionally with all areas including the Demand Management, Sourcing, Field Service, Logistics Distribution, Commercial, and Finance teams to deliver on overall sales, margin and cash flow objectivesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:General and Task ManagementPlan and schedule production orders in accordance with the demand outlook from the SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) processEnsure reliable lead times are estimated with all material and labor constraints taken into accountDevelop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvementMonitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliersResearch and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possibleDeliver briefs, updates and reports as and when requiredOptimize production plan on a daily basis to deliver required equipment from manufacturingHelp analyze, implement and operate an Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) packageManage internal customer expectations regarding timely execution of production order releases release processing of internal documents.Relationship ManagementWork collaboratively and negotiate and engage with stakeholders and suppliers regarding new projects, supplies and initiatives and advise of impact of change on purchasing and production activitiesStay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impactAttend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, in particular when there is a risk which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concernsSupport product change requests and review and communicate the impact on capacity plansBuild, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communicationsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Potentially oversee a team of production planners and production control personnel.QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree from four-year college or university required8 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing or distribution functionAbility to mine data from several sources to build actionable reporting using BI ToolsExcellent Excel skills with proven experience delivering data-driven, valuable insights to executive stakeholdersDemonstrated competency with cross-functional engagement and collaboration Working knowledge of material planning principlesProficient computer skills - particularly Microsoft Office applications Experience with D365 is desiredExperience or familiarity with an APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) package with automation and optimization software such as Planet Together, Aspen or Siemens OpCenter Planning and SchedulingLANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
