Fabrication Manager

MagTech is currently hiring for fabrication manager for a manufacturing company in the Walled Lake, MI area. Please apply below if you are interested and meet the qualifications.Description:A fabrication manager is responsible for supporting the fabrication department to work successfully and safely to meet the needs of its customers, both internal and external. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing its assigned manufacturing processes. The supervisor will monitor the progression of raw materials thru the fabrication process of machining and welding to ensure accurate execution of product specifications. Also to provide support to the fabrication team members by removing obstacles to their success.Responsibilities: Manage and schedule work flow of incoming and outgoing jobs Oversee employees in the fabrication department Order raw materials needed for upcoming projects to make sure stock is always on site Ability to be hands on welding and machining if needed Schedule employees weekly accounting for jobs incoming and PTO requested Ensure proper safety procedures are in place and being followed Coordinate with the plant manager to effectively process jobs from start to finish Job Requirements: Strong experience in metal fabrication Knowledge and understanding of CNC machining Hands on ability and knowledge of welding steel and aluminum Proficiently read prints and process material list Proficient in MS office Ability to communicate and manager 10 or more employees Shift:M-F 7a-430p
