Works under the direction of the Head/Charge Nurse to provide optimum nursing care to all residents on the unit. * Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions, and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse. * Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders, and Department of Health regulations. * Performs all treatments according to physician's specific order and established policies and procedures. * Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse. * Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy. * Coordinates the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care services on a 24-hour basis. * Utilizes knowledge of current trends and practice standards of nursing including geriatric, adult resident, and Assisted Living resident concepts to coordinate staff responsibility to provide quality care. * Monitors staff compliance with facility policy and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. * Audits records to ascertain compliance with facility standards. * Directs and supervises PCA, Home Health Aide, CNAs, and other team members as necessary. Salary: $27.9452 - $33.8266 per hour Qualifications Qualifications: * Current NY State Licensed Practical Nurse Education: * Accredited LPN School
