Maintenance Technician

MAINTENANCE TECH (CLASS 4) Primary Goals and Responsibilities: * Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades * Maintains tools and materials supply * Cleans work area, machines and/or equipment * Assists general maintenance workers by holding materials or tools or performing other tasks as directed * Other duties as assigned Role Requirements: * Experienced in industrial safety practices. * Has manufacturing plant experience * Can read layout drawings * Has 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility. Working Conditions: * Required to communicate in an industrial setting at a moderate noise level. * Required to stand and walk on a concrete surface for 8 hours per day. * Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. * Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust for focus. Work Environment: * Moving mechanical parts * Noise levels moderate to loud * Non-climate control facility environment * Employee may be required to work above ground level or in small work areas
