EGS is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor supporting our client in Akron, OH.2nd Shift Hours are 3PM-11:30PM.Position comes with top competitive salaries, bonuses and excellent benefits. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:Supports and maintains standards for safety, quality, and productivityFollows and enforces all safety and quality procedures and practicesSupports the Nuclear Safety CulturePerforms pre-job briefs, toolbox talks, weekly surveillances and turnover updatesObserves work and monitor operations to ensure that employees conform to production or processing standardsConducts on-the-job training for new and current employees and verifies monthly training modules are completeUnderstands and communicates specifications, drawings, work instructions and communicates them to employeesCommunicates with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departmentsPlans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequence to meet/exceed production goalsMakes suggestions to continual improve processes and engages employees to actively participateInspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctionsMonitors equipment parameters/temperatures throughout the shiftPerforms minor maintenance or pm activities Ensures the plant standards of housekeeping are enforcedShuts down plant at the end of the weekMonitors attendance, payroll times and cost codes for employeesAddresses employee issues, working with HR to resolve concernsJob RequirementsQualifications and Requirements:High School or Equivalent Degree3 + years of management experience in a manufacturing setting preferredIntermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) preferredCommunication skills to present information to individuals/groups, ability to listen and respond to othersOrganizational and time-management skills to achieve established goalsInterpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with others, encourage teamwork and cooperationLeadership skills to coordinate, facilitate, and participate in a collaborative approach to complete tasks and assignmentsMust report to work routinely and promptlyRead and understand engineering and quality documents such as drawings, procedures, work orders Read and write operating procedures and work instruction/travelersPhysical Demands:General physical mobility required.
