Job Summary: The Sr Manager, Production Operations serves as a member of the Creative Audio Services Department and reports directly to the VP, Radio Creative. This position is highly creative, and highly organized, using words and music to move listeners to action. They must be able to write all styles of radio/audio scripts, be a top-notch audio producer, be familiar with Digital Audio Workstations and audio plug-ins (Adobe Audition at a minimum. Pro Tools Preferred) and constantly solve problems to keep production flowing smoothly for all of Hope Media Group. This is a major market/network opportunity for someone who is experienced or is ready to move into an advanced stage of production creation and management. In this role you will spend time as a creative producer and project manager. Hope Media Group the home of KSBJ, WayFM, Vida Unida and NGEN radio. This position resides in Houston, TX.Essential Functions: Messaging/ProductionResponsible for writing and producing audio productions (Client Radio Spots, Non-commercial messages, Radio Station Imaging, and other productions of content) Ability to write creatively, with sophistication beyond the standard voice-over-music type spots. Must be marketing savvy, knows how to communicate to various target audiences, ensuring that messages are on-point, understanding how messages fit within larger strategyFamiliar with FCC Compliance issues as it relates to non-profit, non-commercial underwriting guidelines Produce both commercial and non-commercial radio spots Ability to voice-act - able to sound as a regular person that makes connection with the audience Create production with a "major market" sound as defined by the Program Directors and VP of Radio CreativeAbility to shift styles for multiple radio Program Directors with varying tastes and able to switch between an Adult Contemporary style, to a more youthful style, to occasionally a Latin radio style - and even a Christian Hip Hop styleWorking knowledge in operating a broadcast studio. Familiar with inputs, outputs, signal flow, microphones, telephone systems, and studio configurationsAbility to thrive in an environment with constant deadlinesHandle client needs, and change requests in a positive and effective mannerGuide Artists, and Listeners as needed, to acquire compelling content, including live recordings at events Ability to strategize, provide ideas, direction, and feedback to clients regarding audio messagesAdministrationUse Project Management Software (Wrike) as an online collaborative project and task systemServe multiple clients, while keeping them informed of their projects Oversee Studio schedules and live recordings as neededLoading of productions into Radio Automation SystemsKeeping productions archived, to be able to call upon and re-use efficientlyMust be a self-starter, and understand what needs to be done next as a production moves through its process. Must be able to manage projects through to completion with minimal supervisionDemonstrated FaithPray for coworkers in team meetings or with donors/listeners as needed Participate On-Air fundraisingParticipate in ministry wide Christian bible studiesAttend weekly Hope Huddle and team meetings for prayer and devotions Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
