The Maintenance Mechanic will perform general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roof, painting, masonry, welding, minor HVAC, and other maintenance repairs not requiring a licensed tradesman. The Incumbent will work collaboratively and effectively with other members of the district including administrators, teachers, and staff. This is a rewarding full-time position with an outstanding School District. This position will report directly to the Facilities Supervisor and will perform responsible skilled building maintenance duties and trades work, such as repairs to floors, doors, walls, windows, locksets, and other structures, remodeling of classroom, offices, and repair or rebuilding of wooden structures. The Maintenance Mechanic will also work as a key member of the facilities team and will exhibit excellent communication skills. The Timberlane Regional School District provides Pre-K through High School education to the Communities of Atkinson, Danville, Plaistow, and Sandown in New Hampshire. The Timberlane Regional School District consists of nine buildings, Atkinson Academy, Danville Elementary, Sandown North Elementary, TLC at Sandown Central School, Pollard Elementary, Timberlane Regional Middle School, Timberlane Regional High School, Performing Arts Center, and the SAU106 building. Minimum Qualifications The Maintenance Technician must be a high school graduate or equivalent, should have completed a vocational school education or equivalent training, having completed courses in carpentry and one (1) or more of the other building trades maintenance work. Five (5) years prior work experience in building and ground maintenance and related trades is required.
