We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to help us maintain our equipment and ensure the smooth operation of our production lines.Position Summary: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in keeping our production equipment running at peak performance. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery, including high-speed packaging equipment, conveyors, and processing machines. Your expertise will ensure that our production processes run smoothly, minimizing downtime and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production machinery. Repair and replace defective parts, using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements. Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance tasks, in the maintenance management system. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper operation and integration with existing systems. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety protocols and regulations. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs. Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in equipment maintenance and repair.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical engineering preferred. 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role within a food manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. Experience with PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues. Familiarity with high-speed packaging equipment, conveyors, mixers, ovens, and other food processing machinery. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential hazards.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods. Willingness to work in a hot, cold, or noisy environment as required.
