Service Unit Field Manager

Overview REPORTS TO: Service Unit Director SUPERVISES: Service Unit Volunteers & other staff as directed by SU Director STATUS: Exempt SCHEDULE: Full-Time. Position requires significant scheduling flexibility to attend evening meetings and meetings convened at a distance from home. FUNCTION: T o coordinate the efforts of employees and volunteers who are working on behalf of The Salvation Army in fundraising and providing assistance . Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Must establish and maintain dedicated office at home or assigned area. + Must have a respect, understanding, and appreciation for the mission of The Salvation Army. + Knowledge of the principles and practices of business management, social welfare program development, fund raising, public relations, and personnel supervision. + Have the ability to recruit, train, motivate, instruct, and evaluate a volunteer work staff. + Combination of work experience and post-secondary education is preferred. + Must be willing and able to travel frequently within Ohio and Kentucky. + Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and the ability to safely, operate a motor vehicle. + Strong written and verbal communication skills.
