Part Time Groundskeeper Part Time Support Staff, Hourly Rate: $16.26 (level 10) Reports to: Grounds Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt This position is open until filled. Hours: 25 hours per week Schedule: 9am - 2:30pm. Flexibility required based upon weather related and special events. * This position requires a pre-employment drug screening test as a condition of employment. Basic Purpose of Job: To create and maintain the appearance of college grounds. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Winter: Snow removal, equipment maintenance, litter liners and upkeep; assists other departments as needed * Spring: Planting, mulching, edging, mowing, and campus upkeep; assists with maintaining college property, athletic fields, and other departments as needed. * Summer: Mowing, watering, weeding, plant care, trimming, campus upkeep, and equipment maintenance; assists with maintaining college property, athletic fields, and other departments as needed. * Fall: Leaf removal, mowing, trimming, planting, campus upkeep and equipment maintenance; assists with maintaining college property, athletic fields, and other departments as needed. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 1. Education/Training/Work Experience: * High school diploma, GED, or 1-2 years of work related experience required * Valid PA Driver's License required 2. Specialized Knowledge & Skills: * Must be physically capable of performing all duties on job description * Must work outdoors in all types of weather * Proficient knowledge of and ability to operate tractors, mowers, dump trucks, and snow removal equipment * Must be able to communicate effectively 3. Additional Information Required: * Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions * Ability to work within a team oriented setting 4.
