Job Description: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Mitsubishi Chemical Group, Inc., Polyester Film Division is located in the Greenville/Greer SC area. MPF is the world's largest producer of polyester film. Polyester film can be used in a variety of products and applications which include window film, packaging, label and liner, etc.Role Description: The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability of the asset equipment they are assigned. Their responsibility may also include ensuring site-wide equipment and/or systems that are used site-wide. The maintenance engineer must be aware of those components in their area of responsibility that are prone to failure or could cause significant down-time due to failure and have plans in place to respond as needed. They will also be responsible for the coordination of all repairs, modifications and preventive maintenance activities in their area of responsibility.Essential Functions:Ensure reliability for Film Line 7 and associated areas: Tentering, SlittingProvide technical maintenance and troubleshooting support to Film Line 7 and associated areas.Provide backup support to other Maintenance Engineer on Film Line 8 and associated areas. Plan and coordinate downtime needed for maintenance and upgrades.Analyze equipment breakdowns and premature failures for root cause and failure trends. Implement equipment improvements to address safety, quality, and productivity concerns.Gatekeeper for maintenance workorders. Ensure plant systems (i.e.: SAP) contain needed and correct information to promote accurate and timely Maintenance support.Monitor and control maintenance spending against budget.Key contact between areas of responsibility and Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance groups.Develop and update maintenance job plans.Independently performs assignments requiring application of techniques, procedures and concepts to solve complex problems and recognizes their relative importance and implications.Applies basic statistical techniques to problem solving (Control charts, Pareto analysis)Makes recommendations based on prior knowledge, calculations, experimental work and limited site exposureTakes ownership of processes and systems that successfully address overall plant needs.Requirements:B.S. Degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum one year of experience in fieldGood oral and written communication skills. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting."
