Invest in our Talent: Lead by example. Develop Culture of flexibility and continued learning a. Keep our TM's safe! Create and Instill a Safety Focused Culture throughout the team to reduce injuries as measured by RIR and DART. i. Hold PADNOS (MGT and TM's) accountable to our Safety Rules ii. Ensure active participation in our Safety Program (Tier 2's, Safety Accountability Rules, Safety Audits, preventative action, training, Safety Week, etc.) iii. Review, communicate and follow-up on all Injuries, close calls, damages, and JHA's to b. Improve the engagement and morale of the team as measured by eNPS or other HR survey tools c. Refine organization structure. Improve quality and depth of team i. Recruit. Right people in the Right seats. Build a Bench and pipeline. ii. Develop coaching and business acumen including financial and scrap literacy. Support the direction and creation of PADNOS Academy curriculum. Ensure creation and adherence to our process flow maps. iii. Mentor and develop Production manager to be our next Operations Manager (18-24 months) iv. Create training program throughout operation utilizing, WI, visual aids and training matrix. d. Be a Best & Brightest Team: Create a strong culture of ownership and pride and be the team others want to be a part of 2. Operational Excellence: Support Director of Manufacturing in building a Culture of Continuous Improvement a. Conduct a tiered and structured daily, weekly, monthly meeting rhythm to manage the business and communicate. b. Right size our mfg. operations (people and capital) to align with current and projected business needs. c. Utilize OEE and DCO metrics to increase capacity and reduce costs of current assets. (Measure, Find Base, Improve). d. Monthly Production Forecasting in conjunction to sales to ensure production exceeds sales/purchase needs. e. Implement LPAs throughout site to ensure sustainability of processes3. Increase Processing Capabilities: Seek out new methods, processes, equipment, and technologies to be ahead of the curve in our processing capabilities. Always push us to the next great thing. Be the first to know. a. Develop a methodology to constantly track (and communicate) our yields in real time b. Maximize gross margin of downstream products matching finished products with current and future markets. Support the installation and utilization of advanced downstream technologies to create additional value. c. Utilize a prioritized R&D approach based on ROI working with Sales and Engineering. Increased downstream yields of materials4. Maximize our scrap value. Best disposition of our materials with Financial (and Scrap) literacy everywhere a. Maximize profitability/hour on shredder. Measure, Understand, and Optimize. i. Consistent and accurate inspection, sampling, grading, and recovery review. Improve Lab capabilities and effectiveness ii. Work in conjunction with traders to develop new products for new markets. b. Own Yields and Recoveries of 2ndary Shred business. i. Maximize Downstream Recovery. Ensure yields and losses are measured and controlled. ii. Optimize value of product output with traders and markets utilizing current and new technologies iii. Find optimum frag density to maximize nonferrous recovery iv. Manage shred tests: Process, methodology, visibility, communication, documentation.(supplier specific & batches) c. Manage inventory and material movement. Know FOB cost of every commodity in the yard and its origin. Know FOB sales value of every commodity in the yard and its destination.
